“Your passion and conviction stood out to me as exceptional, and we have no doubts you have the ability to build the team and skills to realize your bigger vision for the business.”
-Forum Ventures Managing Director
We are so excited to have been accepted into the ForumVC accelerator. We really like the team and the pitching/closing process was efficient. According to this list it’s ranked the 12th best startup accelerator in the United States. The investment also enables Elias and I to work full time on the project!
Here are some of the key reasons why we accepted the invitation:
They only work with a small group of companies each cycle, and as a result, are able to act as fractional co-founders/senior operators on each team.
Specifically for Sideko there are 3 core areas they can emphasize:
Sales/GTM/Traction: both tactical to help with upcoming customer conversations and also strategic to help home in on the right concept, model, pricing, etc. They provide specific help building pipeline (20+ customer intros), feedback and support with messaging, positioning, prospecting, pitching and closing.
Fundraising: they have a specific program to help founders get fundraising ready (narrative, positioning, pitch decks, pitch practice etc) and introductions to their broader network of investors.
Product guidance where needed: Partners/mentors can help Sideko build out our product/roadmap. In our case we will look to pair you with product leaders at successful hyper-growth companies that have a good understanding of needs in the space.
What’s next
We will spend our first month coding, networking, and setting up the back office. Our goal is to launch on product hunt next month.
Features
User permissions / roles / teams
Self-service upgrade to paid version of the app
New SDK generator with patent-worthy architecture
Creating a brand new landing page using Webflow
An unauthenticated page that let’s people see our generated documentation without having to create an account
We are betting that this will be a growth driver for us. Our competitors do not offer a non-technical path to seeing value in their products, and we think this is a reason that they are not converting potential users into customers.
Networking
We will meet decision makers at API-first startups that are in growth mode
Meet other early stage founders in NYC to try to increase our launch buzz
